In 2008 I embarked on a life changing journey to alter my eating habits and to be finally healthy.  I lost well over a 100 pounds (135 to be exact) during that year and never felt better.  However, success and happiness lead to content which is a very bad word.

Content leads to falling back to old habits.

Content leads to eating foods you’ve sworn off.

Content leads to seeing numbers on the scale you said you would never see again once you passed them.

You can be content but don’t be satisfied.  Once you have achieved your goals; your new goal should be to maintain your weight.  Easier said than done I know.   After losing all the weight in 2008 I found myself steadily gaining weight.  Here I am in 2011 50 pounds heavier than 2 years ago.  I succeeded once and WILL succeed again.

I thought I would share my journey and provide tips along the way.  I started my regimen on January 1 (i know cheesy but it worked last time) with a goal to lose 50 pounds.  I am back to eating well, eating portions and working out.
